- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, October 16 - 2008 at 14:10
- PRESS RELEASE
NAJAH Education Training Careers, the GCC's largest education and professional exhibition, will introduce an expanded selection of seminars, sponsored by Dubai International Academic City (DIAC), for visitors this year.
At NAJAH, the DIAC Seminar Sessions will address the qualifications, opportunities, and experience of working or studying in a range of professions and institutions, while also providing specific workshops on how to write excellent CV's and effectively face interviews.
NAJAH, the most comprehensive education, training and careers exhibition to be held in the UAE, will take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 19-21 October 2008.
"The seminar programmes were very well-received at the inaugural exhibition last year, and both new and returning exhibitors expressed a great deal of interest in being involved," said Christine Weaver, Group Exhibition Director at IIR Middle East, the organisers of NAJAH.
"This year's DIAC Seminar Sessions will expand on last year's success, and offer forums created to service the needs of the three distinct sectors in one focused environment."
"The seminars are a platform for lively discussion and interactivity, which encourages more personal connections to form between visitors and exhibitors, especially the core target groups: prospective students, professionals, educational institutions and organisations that NAJAH brings together," Weaver continued.
"We are pleased to be part of NAJAH, an exhibition that has successfully integrated education, training and career in one platform," said Dr Ayoub Kazim, Executive Director, Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Knowledge Village.
"The second edition of the event will feature seminar sessions led by industry professionals that will elaborate on the qualification and skill sets demanded by a particular job or industry. The experts will also share their working experiences in their respective areas of speciality."
Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister for Higher Education and Scientific Research, and supported by the Abu Dhabi Education Council and the Ministry of Education, NAJAH's expanded DIAC Seminar Sessions will feature interactive forums between leading education and professional specialists.
Seminars will be conducted by leading education and professional exhibitors, including Dubai International Academic City, Abu Dhabi University, Bayt.com, ELS Language Teaching, Department of Civil Service, Proctor & Gamble, Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, Universities and Colleges Admission Service (UCAS), and study abroad programs in Australia and Cyprus, Canada, UK, USA and much more.
On the exhibition's opening day, visitors will hear from many exhibitors, with the opening presentation by Dubai International Academic City focusing on the educational advantages and services included in attending courses at any of the DIAC universities.
Later on, Bayt.com officials will convey the benefits of online recruitment and the wealth of web-based job postings in the UAE and Gulf region.
The second day of NAJAH sees another wide variety of seminars, including Abu Dhabi's Department of Civil Service, which will highlight rewarding careers for women in the public sector, and how female UAE nationals can unlock their employment potential and contribute to the economic development of the country.
This seminar will be followed by Proctor & Gamble which will brief professionals and university-leavers on the career opportunities at P&G.
The final day of the exhibition again features a diverse array of seminars. Among the offerings, representatives from Study in Australia will address students on the cultural experiences and education opportunities awaiting abroad, while Abu Dhabi University will target prospective engineering candidates with broad overviews of the various engineering disciplines and the courses and programmes of study that prepare students for successful engineering careers.
Building on the success of 2007, NAJAH is designed to bring direct contact between leading public and private sector organisations, educational institutions and proactive, resourceful young people.
The most comprehensive event of its kind ever to be held in the UAE, NAJAH is an excellent platform for school leavers, graduates, parents, job seekers, those seeking education opportunities abroad and HR professionals.
