This brand will be Splash's quintessential 'bridge brand', its niche positioning tapping into a new segment of trendy customers.

The brand's inspiration is Japan - Kinyobi is Japanese for Friday.

In Japan Friday is considered to be the 'Golden Day' of the week, one that lightens our mood making us relaxed and happy.

Speaking about the rationale behind introducing this brand to Splash, CEO Mr. Raza Beig said,

"Splash has always catered to various lifestyle needs under one roof. We identified a need to create a brand with greater product specific investment especially towards fabrics, cuts and silhouettes. With Autumn/Winter 2008 we've extended a greater commitment towards design with the launch of our new brand statement "Eye on Design". Friday-Kinyobi is an extension of this statement as we see great potential in the attitude that the label sports. With this in mind, our young in-house design team started working in collaboration with Japan-based design houses to create a label that will cater to a definitive audience of fashionistas."

The look is Japanese-inspired with an extensive use of technology in the process of design and creation. The fabrics used have a double yarn count, making them fine to touch, of better feel & quality and virtually creaseless.

The men's and women's collection boasts of edgy formals in black, white and grey with bursts of strong statement-making colours. Its clean cuts and designs transcend seasons making the collection ageless.

The brand also extends into a Harajuku-esque street line which is more colourful and noisy. It comprises of jeans crafted out of the world's most superior Japanese denim sourced out of the Onitsuka and Mitsubishi mills.

It also has T-shirts with a 40-60 yarn count dyed in eco-friendly colours as well as jackets, shirts & trousers cut to perfection.

In essence this is an easy to wear label, with clothes that can be mixed with almost anything in ones' wardrobe.
