Royal Health Awareness Society and Al Al-Bayt University sign a memorandum of understanding

The Royal Health Awareness Society represented by Director General Mrs. Enaam Barrishi and Al Al-Bayt University represented by Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Ali Elemat signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance and support Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah's initiative embodied by the National Traffic Awareness Campaign "KAFA".

According to the agreement, the advertising campaign will launch on November 1st, 2008 and will run until December 31st, 2009, where RHAS will be responsible for the design of KAFA's traffic awareness projects publicity materials and Al Al-Bayt University will provide all needed facilities for traffic awareness activities, in addition to posters within the campus, and the distribution of brochures and fliers around the university.

The two parties agreed to form a team of Al Al-Bayt University students called "KAFA Ambassadors Team", members of the team will be selected by RHAS upon certain characteristics and the University will provide all needed support to facilitate membership requests within the university.

The Royal Health Awareness Society, KAFA project, will hold on campus workshop for "KAFA ambassadors" to explain the goals and working plan for the team.

Dean Dr. Elemat commented on the signing of this agreement
"Al Al-Bayt University is one of the leading universities in Jordan, and it is one of its concerns to be a part of the national efforts to counter road accidents and its causes."

Director General Mrs. Barrishi stated that
"KAFA ambassadors campaign, which is implemented by the Royal Health Awareness Society, in cooperation with the higher education institutions, aims to reach the largest segment of citizens to emphasize on traffic awareness and national responsibility to protect lives and properties, considering the latest official statistics which indicated that the majority of accidents are caused by young drivers, for this reason, the advertising campaign must target this group throughout the universities."


In addition, Omar Ajlouni, Director of King Abdullah II fund for Development said:
"The fund will put all its efforts to support KAFA ambassadors' project in Al Al-Bayt University to reach its goal."

At the end of the signing ceremony, director Barrishi expressed her appreciation to Al Al-Bayt University for their concern and cooperation to support KAFA project.

KAFA is one of the Royal Health Awareness Society projects, and was launched by her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah aiming to spread traffic awareness between citizens to influence their behaviors on the streets and motivate them to drive responsibly.
