WinSoft is expecting a further sales figure increase following the release of a series of new fonts currently under development.
"Tasmeem overcomes the traditional challenges faced by the printing and publishing industry in regards to Arabic typography - namely that typesetting technologies based on letter analysis are simply unable to render the richness of the Arabic script."said Ashraf Kessaissia, Winsoft's Business Development Manager in the Middle East.
"By returning to the source of Arabic script traditions, our Arabic Calligraphic Engine (ACE) technology used by Tasmeem, offers today's designers greater creative freedom in an Arabic friendly design environment. In addition, based on our users' feedbacks, we have developed new fonts for Tasmeem that will even better fit both modern and calligraphic designers' expectations."he added.
Several academic institutions currently use the software including the renowned Graphic Department of Dar al Hikma College in Jeddah, KSA.
Last Ramadan (September 2008), the Ministry of Awquat and Religious Affairs of Oman announced the selection of Tasmeem to produce a digital version of the Holy Koran - Tasmeem's biggest project to date.
WinSoft will also give GITEX Technology Week visitors a sneak peek of new Arabic fonts that promise to give richer and better Arabic typography.
The WinSoft eStore was developed in order to increase ease of access to WinSoft's products by customers unable to tap into WinSoft's extensive reseller channels.
"Customers who have difficulty accessing our products through retail outlets can simply go to the eStore on our website and browse for information by language, software publisher or task, then directly download our range of products for trial or purchase. As a result of the increased demand for our Arabic language products, WinSoft is launching an Arabic version of its website in November of this year."explained Edouard Winckel, Channel Sales Manager.
Winsoft will be located at stand C4-20A at GITEX Technology Week and will also be showcasing the Middle East/Arabic version of Adobe Acrobat 9 and FileMaker Pro 9 software.
