Riverbed will demonstrate RiOS 5.0, the enhanced version of the software that powers its Steelhead appliances. Through the introduction of this latest version, Riverbed has become the first vendor to facilitate application-level protocol optimization for Microsoft Exchange 2007. The WDS specialist will highlight the potential of the new platform for three key regional sectors in particular, oil and gas, financial services, and construction.

Riverbed will showcase its latest products and services at stand Z Q-3. Gitex 2008 is the region's largest IT trade show that focuses annually on the rapidly-growing Gulf IT business solutions, telecommunications and consumer electronics sectors. Organisers expect Gitex 2008 to easily surpass the 1,373 exhibitors and more than 120,000 visitors logged by the event during the 2007 edition.
