Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry hosted on Wednesday the second phase of the Al Ahli Group initiative of Global Business Opportunity where 20 students, 10 each from the UAE and Argentina, participated.

The programme, that is derived from the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is a step forward towards creating new UAE global entrepreneurs capable of withstanding the challenges of the globalized world.

The first phase of the programme had the students, both male and female, from the UAE and Argentina attending an intensive training involving field trips in Argentina, which examined the culture and global business environment after the participants were divided into five groups and asked to develop an action plan for their own projects.

Held in Dubai, the second phase includes training students in the area of preparing business strategies for setting up a company. These projects will be judged by a selection committee that will decide on the best plan and present a cash prize accordingly. The ceremony will be held on October 22 at the American University in Dubai.

While welcoming the students, Azzah Al Sharhan, Executive Director of Human Resources, Dubai Chamber, said:
"In line with HH Sheikh Mohammed's vision of creating new UAE global entrepreneurs capable of withstanding the challenges of the globalized world and open market, we at Dubai Chamber strive to work for youth development projects thus our association with this Global Business Opportunity Initiative."

Al Sharhan took this opportunity to thank Al Ahli Group and Junior Achievement Argentina for their CSR role in the initiative, "We extend our deepest appreciation for Al Ahli Group and Junior Achievement Argentina for their role in this initiative which shows their commitment towards Corporate Social Responsibility which is an integral part of every successful business.
