Thuraya to showcase its latest products at Gitex 2008

Asserting its position as the region's leading Mobile Satellite Services operator, Thuraya will once again be a main exhibitor at Gitex this year.

The Company's strong participation is to present its latest packages for Service Providers and provide live demonstrations of solutions and services developed by Thuraya's application developers such as broadcasting solutions for the Media and connecting communication networks using netted communication.

Moreover, Thuraya will be displaying its diverse portfolio of products and promoting its latest broadband and maritime solutions, ThurayaIP and ThurayaMarine.

At the event, Thuraya will also be cooperating with its customers, Service Providers, application developers and other business parties.

With a large stand located in Zabeel Hall, Thuraya will be promoting its wide range of products and services.

Most importantly, Thuraya will be focusing on exhibiting its outstanding ThurayaIP and ThurayaMarine, two core Company products launched recently.

Thuraya will be providing live presentations of the two unique products.

ThurayaIP is a compact and user-friendly broadband solution that functions at a speed of 444 Kbps.

At a competitive size of A-5, the new product has superior video-streaming capabilities that caters to the Media industry, and a specialised demonstration on the use of ThurayaIP for broadcasting solutions for the Media by Quicklink, a Thuraya application developer will be part of the program at the Thuraya stand.

Additionally, a demo of one of Thuraya's future services, netted communications working over ThurayaIP will be presented by Speakerbus, also a Thuraya application developer.

Netted communications allows multiple users to access voice communications through the Thuraya network while using ThurayaIP and an application developed by Speakerbus.

ThurayaMarine is a specialised maritime solution designed with a stable omni-directional antenna providing high-quality, cost-effective communications for small and medium-sized sea-vessels.

This advanced marine solution will leave Thuraya's mark in the large maritime sector.

In addition, the Company will be showcasing the latest variety of solutions developed with Thuraya's global group of partners including the latest in netted communication, tracking, fleet management, rural communication, aeronautical and security solutions.
