Dell brightens Gitex Shopper 2008 with latest range of consumer products

Dell Middle East announced plans to bring its "Yours Is the Latest Style" exhibition to Gitex Shopper 2008, showcasing the company's most customisable and expressive consumer product line-up ever.

Dell's team of experts will help Gitex Shopper visitors personalise Dell systems to their lifestyle requirements.

The line-up includes Dell Studio, Inspiron and XPS laptops, which offer visitors four unique patterns and eight vibrant colours.

Dell is also revealing its smallest desktop PC, the Studio Hybrid, for the first time in the Middle East.

The newest offering in the desktop category is designed to unleash a personal expression of style and to demonstrate that not only laptops, but desktops can be funky and smart too.

"In the Middle East there is a growing demand for laptops that are not only rich in features and performance, but also have an emotional appeal to meet the creative and style requirements of consumers," said Michael Collins, general manager, Dell Middle East.

"When it comes to desktops, consumers are looking for products that combine a variety of options such as personalisation, colours and digital entertainment capabilities."

New products Dell will be showcasing at Gitex Shopper include the following:

Dell Studio 15 laptop
• Beautiful display - 15 inch high resolution screen
• Vibrant colours - Pick from six striking colour choices or a graphite grey chassis with the option of four different trims
• High end spec - Intel Core 2 Duo processors up to 2.5GHz, up to 3 GB of Ram and a 256MB ATI Radeon graphics card
• Feature packed options - 2MP built-in webcam, backlit LED Keyboard, slot loading DVD drive, travel remote control, fingerprint reader, and built-in mobile broadband

Inspiron Mini 9
• Your new best friend - 8.9 inch glossy LED display, choice between Windows XP or Ubuntu with Dell-customised interface, built-in Wi-Fi, a webcam and Bluetooth, make this perfect for a mobile lifestyle
• Featherlight - Weighing from 2.28 pounds
• Rugged - 16GB solid state drive (SSD) keeps your laptop durable on the move

Studio Hybrid
• Petite - at just 7.7 inches tall and 8.3 inches deep the Studio Hybrid can fit just about anywhere
• Personalised - Can be switched to your mood with a choice of five optional, interchangeable color sleeves: Emerald, Quartz, Ruby, Sapphire, Slate, and Topaz
• Perfect - For home digital entertainment and for high-end multimedia activities like creating mash-ups, content for personal web pages, editing and uploading videos and digital photo albums.

Alongside these Gitex visitors can expect to find offers for Dell's Inspiron 1525 and the XPS line of laptops.

The Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop now comes with four optional patterns: Blossom, Chill, Commotion and Street, and the ultraportable Dell XPS 13" 1330, is also available in four colours.

Dell also opened a new retail outlet in Dubai Festival City to cater to its expanding base of customers in the United Arab Emirates.
