ITCA Dubai 2008 set to receive record number of visitors looking to meet demand for catering services solutions

Expansion within the airline industry in the region has created strong demand across one of the most important associated sectors - catering services and facilities.

Airport expansion work in the region amounts to $38bn, while in 2012 the 10 leading airports in the Middle East will have a combined capacity of 320 million passengers.

The International Air Transportation Association (IATA) international passenger forecasts place the Middle East and North Africa as the largest region for growth worldwide climbing to 6.8% ahead of global average of 5.1 percent.

As a result, ICTA Dubai 2008, taking place from 3 - 5 November at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC), the only dedicated travel catering services exhibition for the Middle East, Africa and Indian Subcontinent region, is set to receive a record number of visitors in its third edition.

ITCA Dubai 2008 isorganised by Dubai World Trade Centre in partnership with the International Travel Conference Association (ITCA). Joanne Cook, Group Industry Manager - Food Cluster, DWTC, said:

ITCA Dubai is the event of choice for suppliers in the airline, cruise, ferry and railway catering and services industries looking to meet with leading airline, cruise, rail operators and ship chandlers.

Sponsored by Emirates Airlines, ITCA 2008 is the ideal event for airline representatives, charter service operators, and in-flight service professionals to cruise caterers, government officials, and logistics providers. The 2007 edition of the show represented over 123 companies and received approximately 2,000 visitors from 60 countries.

Running alongside ITCA Dubai and organised by the International Travel Catering Association (ITCA) is the ITCA Dubai Conference, the only dedicated conference for the travel catering industry in the Middle East. The conference will attract key decision makers from the travel catering industry across the region.

ITCA Dubai 2008 - the 3rd Travel Catering and Inflight Service Exhibition and Conference for the Middle East, Africa and Indian Subcontinent takes place from 3-5 November at the Shaikh Rashid Hall, Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Dubai, UAE.

The exhibition will be held alongside the 2 day ITCA Dubai 2008 Conference taking place from 4 - 5 November.
