Al Madina A'Zarqa appoints Michael Hess as Project Director for environmental sustainability

As Project Director, Mr. Hess is responsible for overseeing sustainable initiatives and techniques during design and development of Al Madina A'Zarqa. Within this role, he will also be the chief liaison for stakeholders of BCC1, and provide leadership to infuse environmentally sustainable initiatives in line with the efforts of other community, regulatory, higher education and private groups.

Mr. Hess will be accountable for the infrastructure and civil works of Phase 1 plus ensuring that all environmental related project work for Phase1 complies with the environmental permit conditions issued by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs.

Mr. Hess brings with him a wealth of experience including a recent position at QP International where he was responsible for program management of Al Qudra Real Estate Developments in Al Ain, UAE. Prior to this, Mr. Hess held senior management positions as land development consultant to Manazel Real Estate , Abu Dhabi,, Abu Dhabi International Airport and Donald Trump Organization in New York City.

Holding a BSc Degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University, USA and a Master of Science in Geotechnical/Environmental Engineering from University of California, USA, Mr. Hess has over 35 years of expertise in project management and is a member of the American Consulting Engineers Council and the Airport Consultant's Council. Mr. Hess has received certification in the Alliance for Construction Excellence from Arizona State University as well as recognitions in project and leadership management from The Parsons Corporation, USA.
