DUBAL takes silver sponsorship of 2009 Mass Wedding in UAE

Clearly demonstrating its commitment to investing in the community, especially the less privileged, Dubai Aluminium Company Limited ("DUBAL") has signed an agreement with IQD Al Yasmeen event management company, effectively committing DUBAL to Silver sponsorship of the 2009 Mass Wedding for People with Special needs.

The annual event, which is personally endorsed by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, enables special-needs individuals to exchange marriage vows and celebrate the happy occasion. The 2009 Mass Wedding will feature 100 individuals, making this the largest event of its kind in the UAE.

Khalid E Buhumaid (Vice President Corporate Relations & International Affairs and Official Spokesperson for DUBAL) signed the agreement on behalf of the company, at DUBAL's head office in Jebel Ali.

"As a responsible corporate citizen, DUBAL is an avid supporter of events that help people with special needs socialise within the greater community,"


he said.

"The company salutes all the local organizations that support the event, congratulates the organizers on an excellent initiative, and wishes the to-be-married couples a happy and successful life together."

Ms Iman Faris (Head of the Marketing Committee for the Mass Wedding) added her thanks to HH Sheikh Mohammed for his continuing generous support for this segment of society. She also acknowledged the efforts of the co-ordinators of the event, particularly Dubai Special Sport Club, Arab Family Organization and Eqid Al Yasmeen - the company organizing the 2009 Mass Wedding.
