EMPA signs distribution agreement with Iomega Corporation

EMPA Middle East FZCO, a leading IT distribution company in the Middle East, has announced that it has been appointed as the authorised Middle East distributor for US-based Iomega Corporation, a global leader in data storage and protection for consumers and small businesses, and a wholly-owned subsidiary of EMC Corporation.

An agreement to this effect was signed today between EMPA and Iomega on the sidelines of EMPA's Gitex Technology Week 2008 participation.

During its Gitex Dubai 2008 participation, EMPA will be showcasing a wide array of products of its partner companies while also highlighting the company's steady growth and performance in the highly competitive Middle East market where EMPA completes 10 years of successful operations this year.

Shahood Khan, Director, Sales and Marketing, EMPA Middle East, said,

EMPA has been an authorised Intel distributor since 1985 and a Biostar distributor since the past eight years, in addition to being the authorised distributor for major vendors such as Fujitsu, Kingston, LaCie, Philips, Pleomax, Transcend, SimpleTech, SMC and Tripp Lite.

EMPA recently completed a new facility and headquarters in Jebel Ali to accommodate its rapidly expanding operations and workforce, with a built up area of 40,700 sq ft on a 84000 sq ft plot, making it one of the largest facilities in the region for an IT distributor.
