The visit forms part of the SCTDA's strategy for introducing the emirate's unique heritage, cultural and family tourist attractions to the international tourism community. The increased number of Kazakh tourists visiting Sharjah in recent years underlines the vital importance of establishing a strong presence for Sharjah in the Kazakh tourist market via various promotional activities and platforms.

The visit included a number of distinguished tourist facilities in the emirate, starting with the Sharjah Aquarium and followed by visits to the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization, Sharjah Heritage Area and a number of traditional souks, including Souq Al Arsah and the Central Souk. The delegation also visited a number of Sharjah's prominent tourist destinations, such as the reputed Al Qasba.

H.E Mr. Mohamed Ali Al Noman, Director General of the SCTDA, emphasized the important role such visits can play in introducing Sharjah's tourist profile to major Kazakh tourist agencies, saying:
"Sharjah is considered one of the region's most favorable tourist destinations, due to a unique blend of cultural, heritage and family attractions, which distinguish the emirate from other tourist destinations in the region. Our continuous focus on promoting Sharjah's these attractions stems from our desire to make a definitive impact on major tourist markets worldwide. These promotional initiatives are implemented by participation in several major tourism exhibitions as well as by inviting key international tourism players to visit us and to familiarize themselves with our tourist attractions. These efforts have proven fruitful many times over, as evidenced by the increasing number of tourists visiting the emirate in recent years. This growth confirms the importance of our presence at shows and exhibitions and of our various promotional activities all over the world."

"The SCTDA welcomes tourism delegations from international communities throughout the year, and is especially happy to receive those from countries that have already contributed significantly to increased number of tourists into Sharjah. We aim to cultivate relationships with these delegations and to ensure that their stay is both informative and enjoyable, as they play a key role in the marketing of international tourist destinations to the citizens of their home countries," Al Noman added.

Representatives of tourist agencies were impressed by what they saw in the emirate and expressed eagerness to introduce Sharjah's unique tourist attractions to the Kazakh tourist community.
