Cathay Pacific announces capacity increase to Dubai spurred by the economic growth of UAE

Award-winning Cathay Pacific Airways, Asia's Leading Airline, announced that effective 1st October 2008 it operates triple daily flights between Dubai & Hong Kong.

Customers traveling to Hong Kong and beyond to China, Far East, USA, Canada & Australia shall have the option to choose between late afternoon and midnight non-stop flights to Hong Kong; the third daily flight shall operate via Mumbai with a three-class configuration.

With the vision of His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Almakhtoom, Dubai grows at a rapid pace.

Continuous development in real estates, leisure and entertainment industries, banking and finance sectors have led to an increase in passenger and cargo traffics between Dubai, Hong Kong and China.

With high demand of business and leisure traffic between Dubai and Mumbai, Cathay Pacific Airways shall further strengthen the route by operating Boeing 747-400 with the award-winning First Class suites (2008 World airline awards run by Sky trax), the newly designed flat-bed Business Class seats, and the enhanced Economy Class seats with Audio/Video-on-Demand in-flight entertainment system.

Mr. Clement Tam, Country Manager for UAE & Oman said:

"Given the remarkable growth of UAE and Dubai in particular, we have enhanced our operation in Dubai from 20 to 24 flights per week with effect from 1st October.
