The mandate will extend GFS's established capabilities as an international provider of structured finance services to the small public company sector to include larger institutions which have a need for capital.
The firm's President and Chief Executive Officer, Kevin Gray, added,
"with this most recent expansion, GFS' Acquisition Partners, LP will increase its consultancy and sponsorship role, which will include oversight and comment on transaction processes, expanded financial consulting services and assistance in the negotiation of international credit facilities and wholesale and retail distribution channels."
Mr. Gray also commented that, "in a time of market volatility, our Structured Transaction Program provides our client base with viable credit options that are not available elsewhere. GFS represents the next generation in transparent funding options and has set itself apart by providing systems, processes and credit underwriting that speaks directly to public company needs. We are happy to place additional focus on new and exciting structured finance developments." Gray added, "This growth was great timing for an expansion of structured product initiatives currently in the market. Alternative structured finance within the global public markets has remained extremely vibrant and we are very bullish on the next 12 to 36 months."
