Cathay Pacific appoints Clement Tam as Country Manager for UAE and Oman

Clement Tam has taken charge as Cathay Pacific's Country Manager for UAE and Oman effective the 24th of August 2008.

Clement joined Cathay Pacific eight years ago in the Hong Kong head office. Since then, he has worked in a variety of departments in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Indonesia and Middle East that included Airport Management, Business Improvement and Cathay Pacific Loyalty Programme that manages the airline's Frequent Flyer Programme, Asia Miles. The last position held is that of Country Manager Bahrain & Saudi Arabia managing business in the two Kingdoms and also the offline Middle East region.

Clement said:
"The upcoming posting in the U.A.E. and Oman will further broaden my horizon in the Middle East and I am really excited."


Clement added, "In the climate of rising fuel cost, the recently announced service enhancement between the Middle East and Hong Kong demonstrates Cathay Pacific's long-term commitment to the GCC and the local community. Together with the extensive networks of Cathay Pacific and Dragonair, we can bring Hong Kong, China and the Far East one step closer to the people in the U.A.E. and Oman."
