The ADTA contingent stood for two minutes outside its headquarters early this morning to join the global exercise which pledges people and organisations to the UN Millenium Development Goals which followers hope to achieve by 2015.
The goals - aimed at eradicating poverty and supporting an environmentally sustainable world - require followers to pledge to act against poverty, disease and hunger, to adopt sustainable measures in lifestyles, to work towards universal primary education and a reduction in child mortality, promote gender equality and create long-term sustainable partnerships.
The 'Stand Up Session' is being marked around the world with the final numbers being assessed for a Guinness World Record.
