Located at Jobs.abudhabi.ae, Jobs Abu Dhabi will create a forum for both employers and jobseekers to connect and fulfill their respective employment needs. To serve employers from both the public and the private sector in Abu Dhabi as well as job seekers from around the globe, Jobs Abu Dhabi was developed leveraging global best practices in the arena of virtual job markets. As such, it will offer many features and functionalities to facilitate various job searching and position filling processes. Some of these features include intelligent search criteria to facilitate instantaneous matching of job opportunities with qualified candidates, as well as mechanisms to ensure the currency of the job and CV postings. The site will be made available in Arabic, English and French.

In addition to job posting and searching, the site will also provide useful information and links relevant to working and living in Abu Dhabi. Various government agencies will also provide information, links and services of relevance to job seekers and employers in addition to their respective job postings.

Commenting on the project, Abu Dhabi Systems & Information Committee (ADSIC) Chairman H.E. Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori said:
"With the launching of Jobs Abu Dhabi, we will have effectively put in place a platform to foster effective job matching between the private and public sectors, and those seeking employment opportunities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Whether for national or international hires, attracting the right talent in the most effective manner is truly a global competitive advantage that differentiates countries in today's knowledge-based society."

He further added that "the virtual job market that we will be launching is another milestone achievement in the Abu Dhabi e-Government program, providing best-of-class services to citizens (the job seekers) as well as businesses and government entities (the employers)."

ADSIC -- the government committee spearheading the Jobs Abu Dhabi initiative - is currently in the process of onboarding all of the Abu Dhabi Government Entities to the site as well as interested private organizations. The official launch of the virtual market will be associated with a comprehensive Jobs Abu Dhabi marketing campaign throughout the UAE as well as abroad.

This new initiative is inline with the visionary leadership of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and another milestone of the program launched in 2006 by the Abu Dhabi Government under the wise council and direction of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Executive Council, to improve service delivery, expand service availability through robust initiatives such as the Abu Dhabi Government Contact Centre and Abu Dhabi Government Portal and increase governmental efficiency.

in positioning ICT as a key enabler for national modernization across all sectors in the Emirate.
