Qatargas hosts first Quality Day

Today Qatargas held its inaugural annual Quality Day at the Diplomatic Club, Doha.

The theme of the event was 'Quality Maintains Success in Institutions' with an audience that represented management from the 30 largest organizations in Qatar.

The Quality Day is intended to be a forum that brings professionals together to share leading Quality tools and techniques from various industries.

Distinguished speakers from around the world, including Sheikh Ahmed Al-Thani, Qatargas Chief Operating Officer, Engineering and Ventures, discussed the importance and role of Quality in business today and in the future.

Sheikh Ahmed said; "Qatargas is pleased to be able to bring together such a diverse range of professionals from within the business community to discuss this important and fundamental element of any successful business. Quality is one of the cornerstones of our business at Qatargas and helps to frame the continuous improvement we seek in every aspect of our operations."

Other experts from Qatar Petroleum, the American Society for Quality (ASQ), Qatar University, Hamad Hospital Corporation, TQM, ExxonMobil,
Royal Dutch Shell and Total spoke about Quality and the importance of its role in any organization.

One of the main purposes of Quality Day is to provide an annual platform for professionals to discuss and promote Quality across Qatar's various industries.

The Forum also serves as an opportunity to share Quality knowledge amongst professionals for application in their organizations.
