Global Village a member of Tatweer Dubai, and the premier culture and entertainment destination for families, today announced the sale of VIP passes for the 2008-2009 season has opened to an overwhelming response.
In addition to extending a host of privileges, the passes will also provide exclusive access to a dedicated parking area.
As a leading shopping, culture and entertainment destination for families and tourists, Global Village continuously endeavours to enhance its service offerings to provide its loyal visitors with a flawless experience. With this year's edition to offer a gamut of new attractions for 120 days, Global Village anticipates a much higher footfall - and the VIP passes will ensure that regular patrons are afforded all of the conveniences to experience a truly special and enjoyable visit.
The VIP passes are on sale at the Global Village offices. Alternatively, the VIP passes can be bought through a dedicated client servicing team on 04-3624114 from 8:00am to 5:00pm during weekdays.
The 13th edition of Global Village will run from 12 November 2008 - 21 February, 2009.
In the 2007-08 edition, Global Village registered a footfall of nearly 4.5 million through the participation of 30 pavilions, 120 kiosks and service areas, and 32 restaurants.

Global Village:Global Village, a member of Tatweer Dubai, is Dubai's exciting and unique annual tourism destination and spectacular multicultural entertainment centre. Launched in 1996, Global Village made its debut on the Creekside opposite Dubai Municipality. It later moved to the Oud Metha area and then on to Dubai Festival City, until it found a permanent home in 2005 at Dubailand, the region's largest tourism, entertainment, leisure and lifestyle complex.
From hosting 18 country pavilions in 1997, Global Village saw the participation of nearly 40 countries in 2006-2007. The number of visitors grew from 500,000 in 1996 to nearly 4.2 million in 2006-2007. In 2006-2007, tourists from over 160 different countries enjoyed the Global Village fiesta.
