Motorola employees took a half day off work to support more than 300 projects that address a variety of community concerns, including education, environmental sustainability and social services.
To highlight the importance of environmental stewardship, this year, many Motorola employees will be teaching an environmental curriculum in classrooms across the globe.
Additionally, The Motorola Foundation will arrange to have a non-profit organization plant a tree for every Motorola employee volunteer.
Motorola employees who re-use their Motorola apparel from previous events will have a second tree planted in their honor.

Locally, more than 230 children will benefit from Motorola's work at these projects:
Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs, a non-profit organization providing education & training to disabled children

With a rich heritage of giving since 1953, Motorola Foundation and employees from all divisions come together each year to organize the annual service event that promotes teamwork and enables colleagues company-wide to engage with organizations addressing critical social issues.
This year's focus on environmental sustainability is an extension of the Motorola's commitment to the environment.
From 2000 to 2007, the company reduced its carbon footprint by 25%, works to improve the environmental profile of its products and offers recycling programs in 69 countries.
