According to the World Travel Organisation, overall East Asia and Pacific outbound tourism is projected to grow by 6.5%, higher than the world average of 4.1% and is expected to reach 405 million by 2020. Tourism Boards from Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt will be taking part in ITB Asia to raise their profile and establish new business contacts.

Held in Singapore, ITB Asia is the premier meeting forum for the Asian Travel Market, providing a global platform for establishing new customer contacts and conducting business with hundreds of professional corporate travel and MICE buyers from around the world.

Taking place in Singapore from 22-24 October, the inaugural event has sold out all of its exhibition space, demonstrating its position as the ideal platform for companies looking to tap into Asia's growing tourism market.

Exhibitors from 42 countries have booked floor space at the event, including national tourism organisations, airlines and airports, hotels and resorts, theme parks and attractions, inbound tour operators, cruise lines and travel technology companies.

According to STB, ITB Asia's selection of Singapore as the host of this prestigious event reinforces the island-nation's reputation as an internationally-renowned destination for major business events.

"We are delighted that the world's leading travel trade exhibition has chosen to be based in Uniquely Singapore. ITB Asia further solidifies Singapore's standing as a leader within the global MICE industry"

said Jason Ong, Area Director for Middle East and Africa, Singapore Tourism Board.

ITB has over 40 successful years of experience in the travel trade show business - which includes ITB Berlin - and is the premier meeting place in the travel trade industry to establish new customer relationships and conduct business.
