It is estimated that UK and overseas visitors to NewcastleGateshead contribute approximately AED7.6bn to the local economy, with its rich cultural history and world-renowned medical and science industries fueling its position as an up and coming destination for UAE business travellers.

Some of the city's famous venues include the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, The Sage Gateshead, The National Glass Centre, the historic heritage of Hadrian's Wall, and the Angel of the North, an iconic landmark and Britain's largest sculpture.
