GAC clinches the 'Transport-Logistics-Freight' at 2008 Seatrade Awards again

Global shipping and logistics services provider GAC has won the coveted "Transport/ Logistics/ Freight Award" award at the 2008 Seatrade Middle East and Indian Subcontinent Awards, the premier awards event for the region's shipping industry.

One of the oldest and most esteemed annual awards in the region, the Seatrade Middle East and Indian Subcontinent awards has, for twenty years championed high standards and quality in shipping and also issues that are close to the heart of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO).

The Award also seeks to honour those who have made significant contributions to the Maritime business related industries.

"Receiving the prestigious industry honour two years in a row is an encouraging recognition of GAC's service excellence as an industry leader," says Bengt Ekstrand, GAC Regional Director for the Middle East.

"Our continued investment in the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent region, particularly in warehousing and distribution has paid off. The award will motivate us to further improve our operational efficiency and service quality so that we can continue to set new benchmarks in the industry."

The winners of 26 categories, selected by an independent panel consisting of renowned industry figures, were presented with their prizes at a prestigious gala ceremony held at the InterContinental Hotel in Dubai Festival City.
