The Arab Leadership Forum organised by the Young Arab Leaders, Bahrain was launched today at the University of Bahrain, Sakhir campus by Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al-Khalifa; announcing the ALF initiative to raise 1000 young Bahraini leaders over the coming five years.
This year's forum has a central theme of 'Developing and Transforming Yourself as an Extraordinary Leader', bringing together top speakers with a wealth of expertise, experience and knowledge.
Speaking at the Forum Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al-Khalifa said: "The story of success begins from small to big, today we are taking a small step and tomorrow we will be taking a bigger step, until we achieve our mission of developing Arab leaders. We foresee a better future with strong, knowledgeable and influential leaders. The journey started in 2005 when the Young Arab Leaders organization was created, the (ALF) Initiative symbolizes a big step further in reaching our vision. This initiative is not the end of the journey, but a crucial part of reaching the final destination. We hope that by the end of the coming five years we would have inspired and mentored 1000 young Bahrainis through this Forum, apart from our other initiatives. I would like to sincerely thank our partners and sponsors, without whom our all this would not be possible, namely; ALBA, Kuwait Finance House, Miracle Graphics, and our Platinum Strategic partners Bahrain Mumtalakat and our Public Relations Strategic Partner Promoseven | Weber Shandwick."
Commenting on the 'Arab Leadership Forum', CEO of Mumtalakat, Talal Al Zain, said: "Ours is a world that is not only rapidly globalizing but whose economies are increasingly knowledge based. Those economies with the right intellectual capital combined with the right leadership will win in the future global economy. As a dynamic economy, it's essential we invest in our future leaders now, to give them the tools and experience to help lead Bahrain's future growth and prosperity.
Mr. Abdul Razak Jawahery, Executive Manager at KFH-Bahrain highlighted "Through YAL's initiatives such as this forum, we can achieve long term impact on the Arab Youth who aspire to be the future leaders of our region. The aim is to provide them with opportunities to develop and strengthen skill sets necessary in the working world. YAL's ALF initiative strives to broaden the knowledge base of our youth to create a strong workforce for tomorrow and to encourage intercultural understanding."
And Alba Chief Executive, Ahmed Saleh Al Noaimi, said: 'Alba has long been committed to supporting Bahrain's youth. We recognise that today's youth represent our most important investment for the future, and we remain firmly to doing everything in our capacity to help prepare them for a better tomorrow.
'We are confident that the YAL 'Arab Leadership Forum: Step by Step to Success' will prove a remarkable success and contribute, directly, to empowering our Kingdom's youth. We feel privileged to be able to support the YAL in their latest initiative and we wish them every success.'
"This Young Arab Leaders Forum is providing a wonderful opportunity to the selected candidates to benefit from the global and personal experience and expertise of key international leaders in their respective fields' said Adam Sunderland, Chief Executive Officer of Miracle. 'I can think of no better way to enable young future leaders to meet their desire to trigger change in the world around them than for them to be exposed to such an array of talented presenters from around the globe. I am confident that all will come away from this event greatly enriched by the experience."
