Qatar Tourism & Exhibitions Authority participates in first ITB Asia

Qatar Tourism & Exhibitions Authority is participating in the first International Tourism Bourse (ITB) Asia, the Asian travel trade show, to be held in Singapore this week.

QTEA will promote Qatar to the important Asian market, by focusing on buyers from Meetings, Incentive, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) and leisure sector, among them conference and exhibitions organisers, business people and boards of tourism authorities.

Qatar Tourism & Exhibitions Authority represents and promotes Qatar as a unique and world class destination. Already known as a progressive business hub, Qatar offers an upscale world of leisure and cultural attractions.

Mr Ahmed A. Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Qatar Tourism & Exhibitions Authority, commented:
"Tourism in Qatar is a business oriented combined with unique leisure attractions. Qatar is a world class destination, and targets a growth of 20% of new travellers in the next five years."


The Qatar Tourism & Exhibitions Authority is accompanied by a high level delegation, including several Qatar tourism officials and organisations such as the Qatar Museum Authority, Ritz-Carlton Doha and major travel tours.

ITB Asia is the premier meeting place in the travel trade industry forum for establishing new customer contacts and conducting business, guaranteeing high-quality customer contacts with top buyers from the MICE, Leisure and Corporate Travel markets.
