Green Packet's Wimax (802.16e) hardware solutions include enterprise-class outdoor and indoor subscriber modems and USB dongles. Also on display for the first time in the Middle East will be Green Packet's software solutions, including its Intouch Connection Manager for seamless access through the one device to different networks such as WiFi, Wimax, 3G, and GPRS.
A major draw for those looking for a hassle-free online experience is Green Packet's Intouch Connection Manager software. Intouch is a user-friendly and all-in-one solution that allows the end user to automatically connect to different access networks seamlessly and through different devices. Consumers with Intouch enjoy a host of consumer-centric applications and value-added services for both work and leisure including optimum connection for the best connectivity experience.
Intouch provides operators with revenue-generating value-added services and applications which help to increase ARPU (Average Revenue per User). Intouch
also addresses the need for telecommunication and internet service providers to overcome the constant challenge of network congestion, by offloading bandwidth intensive networks to a WiFi network. This key advantage has been one of the reasons for its take-up by many telecommunication providers in Asian markets.
With the demand for mobile connectivity soaring across the region, and the launch of a number of Wimax operators expected over the coming months Green Packet executives are expecting that interest in the technology - which can provide throughput speeds of up to 30 megabytes per second - will be considerable.
"The initial reaction from operators in this region has been incredibly encouraging. Likewise, the successful launch of our own Wimax commercial service in Malaysia only a few months back has affirmed that the public is hungry for faster internet speeds and more reliable connectivity. Green Packet Networks is expecting increased interest from the region's largest operators in our solutions and expertise as they look to leverage on Wimax and realize the value that we can offer them and their customers," explained Green Packet Group's MD and CEO, Puan Chan Cheong.
Green Packet Networks has also signed an agreement with Alcatel-Lucent to jointly promote its Wimax (802.16e) products, including Green Packet's new Wimax Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) and Intouch Connection Manager (CM) software.
Nik Ismail, Director of Green Packet Networks, said:
"In partnering with Alcatel-Lucent, the global Wimax market leader with a strong success track record in this region, we're excited by what we can both achieve together. Our confidence stems from our own market-tested solutions. We know users want functionality and convenience, and they want sleek designs; and that's what we can offer the Middle East market today."
Green Packet Networks will be demonstrating all of the company's hardware and software solutions at this year's Gitex / Gulfcomms event at its booth, located in Zabeel Hall, Stand Number Z-D1.
