Etisalat highlights its managed telecom and ICT solution expertise at Gitex Technology Week

As the Etisalat Conference Day track concluded at the Gitex Technology Week conference yesterday, attendees of the event got a deeper insight into the full breadth of Etisalat's comprehensive Managed Telecom & ICT solution expertise with presentations from various Etisalat speakers highlighting various solution areas and key technology trends.

Abdulla Hashim, VP, Enterprise Solutions ,Etisalat opened the conference and spoke about some of the key technology trends like the shift towards convergence and the growing relevance of Managed Services.

Etisalat is leading this trend of rapid migration to Internet Protocol (IP)-based services and this convergence of voice and data systems is where Etisalat is placing a major emphasis in today's digital economy, enabling businesses to achieve true flexibility and collaboration while also managing costs and simplifying their operations. Etisalat is also engaging in a partnership based approach whereby it tying up with global technology leaders like Microsoft, Cisco and Avaya to provide a more holistic offering to customers.

From an Enterprise Mobility Perspective, the growing demand on an executive's time and the increasing demand for tools and solutions to do business anytime, anywhere and on any device, has seen a rapid growth in mobility solutions. Today, mobility solutions have a increasingly bigger role to play whether it is in terms of impacting the business process cycle, communicating with customers or increasing the productivity of customers themselves through access to solutions.

Mobility strategy comprising of Mobile Voice, Value SMS and MMS/SMS broadcast, Mobile Data, Blackberry and Mobile PBX solutions.

Attendees also got a overview of Etisalat's IP Connectivity strategy where Etisalat is creating a dedicated MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) IP network across the UAE with domestic as well as global connectivity options. The shift to IP based strategy has been necessitated by the growing demand for more bandwidth from corporates and with the convergence of networks be it voice, video and data. A comprehensive range of Etisalat connectivity solutions were also showcased which offer seamless connectivity with different classes of service ranging from IP Connect to Xpress Connect .Customers now have the option to choose services which offer any to any connectivity as well as point to point connectivity options.

Etisalat's approach towards giving organisations a comprehensive outsourcing alternative was also highlighted during the conference. Concentrating on core business ,increasing operational efficiency with predictable & optimized costs are clear drivers for organisations to move towards outsourcing.

Etisalat today offers organisations outsourcing alternatives like Managed WAN, Unified Threat Management, Managed SSL - Remote Access, Roadmap for Unified Communications, Managed Tele Presence and Managed VoIP services.
