Zain Q3 net profit up 7%

Kuwait-based phone company Zain, which has operations in 22 Middle Eastern and African countries, said third-quarter profit rose 7% as customers increased to more than 56 million, reported Bloomberg. Net income climbed to $327m, or 9 cents a share. Revenue in the period rose 25% to $1.89bn.
