ME travellers flock to Europe

Middle East arrivals in Europe were in excess of 25 million in 2007, up from 14 million in 2001, making the Middle East market the second fastest growing destination after Asia, in terms of arrivals to Europe, according to Mark Allvey, Global Sales Director of Rocco Forte Collection, Europe's largest luxury hotel chain. Qatar has registered over 300% year on year growth in terms of travellers to Europe, making it the fastest growing market in the Middle East, he added. Qatar is the third largest outbound market from the region following Saudi Arabia and the UAE, The Peninsula reported.
