The five-day Aphrodite's challenge ran from 10th - 15th September, and shed light on the key risk factors, symptoms and preventative measures for heart diseases through awareness, education and prevention.
The team led by Founder and Managing Director of Mountain High Julie Amer were pushed to their physical limits through a series of strenuous yet fun activities including hiking & biking in the Akamas, kayaking and coasteering around the sea caves and a challenging scavenger hunt.
This was the first Mountain High Go Red for Women initiative supported Land Rover. Previously Land Rover has sponsored Mountain High's diabetes and breast cancer awareness programmes.
Back from her trip, a visibly ecstatic Julie said, "It was fantastic to have Land Rover supporting this exciting new active health initiative - the first of its kind from the UAE. The team of women on the challenge were all great roving ambassadors for the Go Red for Women campaign and completed all the tasks set for them in the spirit of adventure!"
Marcelle Duncan, Regional Marketing Manager, Land Rover Middle East and North Africa, said:
"We are very proud to partner with Mountain High in their efforts to encourage people to embrace the outdoors and adopt a healthy lifestyle. Land Rover has always been committed to promoting adventure and we look forward to continuing that commitment in our future activities."
The support for Mountain High's activities is part of Land Rover's ongoing commitment to encourage people to explore the outdoors and to spread the messages of health and adventure by stepping outside of their everyday limits for a good cause.
