The second spot was bagged by Dubai Modern High School, represented by Avneet Fernandes and Eric Kalapura, while the third place went to BITS Pilani represented by Tarun Balakrishnan and Mukundh Vasudevan.
The other teams that made it to final rounds were IITM, Al Tawam (Sherwood Academy) Abu Dhabi and University of Wollongong in Dubai.
"The aim of Battle of Brains was to engage students in a general knowledge contest with lots of fun elements," said Bridget Clifford, Student Services Manager at the UOWD. "The response to the inaugural event was overwhelming. We plan to make this contest an annual feature on our calendar of events."
The quizmaster for the event was Ameet D'Silva. The Battle of Minds was sponsored by Linksys Cisco and Radio 105.4 Dubai Spice.
