At the end of another successful exhibition, the public will be allowed to experience some of the most innovative technology products currently on the market from leading companies around the world.

Products which have already been unveiled at this year's Gitex Technology Week Consumer Electronics exhibition include Panasonic's 150'' TV screen, and the launch of GE cameras in the Middle East from Sharaf Electronics.

"Companies at Gitex Technology Week are launching new technologies that will captivate the region over the coming year," said Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General, Dubai World Trade Centre. "A wide spectrum of products are on display including those from Ford and Panasonic, which are receiving immense interest from senior trade visitors. Gitex Technology Week is once again proving its importance to the market."

The Consumer Electronics section of Gitex Technology Week includes companies such as Panasonic, Sharp, Samsung, and Sanyo showcasing the latest products ranging from mini-notebook PC's to widescreen displays.

"We have been delighted with the early response from serious buyers for the 150'' plasma screen, which is the largest in the world," Said Sajjad Faleel, Senior Manager, Corporate Communications, Panasonic Marketing Middle East FZE. "Gitex Technology Week is allowing us to present our state-of-the-art products direct to senior executives and customers, and we are sure visitors will be impressed with what is on offer from Panasonic when we welcome them to the stand tomorrow."

There is also the chance to drive home in the all-new 2009 Ford Flex, the official Gitex Technology Week Car. One lucky visitor will become the first person in the UAE to own the new car which features SYNC - the Ford-exclusive in-car voice-activated communications and entertainment system, powered by Microsoft Auto software.

As Gitex Technology Week comes to a close, the HP sponsored 'Gadget Glam' fashion show will launch the 'must-have technology' that will define the trends and fashions for the coming year in front of a global audience.

"We are thrilled to be part of Gitex Technology Week, not only because of the unique opportunity to showcase our latest products at such a prestigious and highly visible event, but also because Ford is the first automotive manufacturer to extend its reach to the world of Consumer Electronics in the region," said Waldo Galan, Managing Director of Ford Middle East.

"We have the perfect products for this show and we are confident that both SYNC and Flex will create considerable hype around them by the time Gitex Technology Week comes to a close," Galan added.
