The services include automatic calculation of court fees, so that members of the public can work out costs, an eComplaint System, an event calendar, eNotary service, a law firm search and a hearing list.

The last enables people to see when their hearing is due in court. In addition, the Ministry is launching an SMS notification service, sending a text to parties involved in action so that they know when it is happening.

The eNotary should speed up the approval of official documentation.

Abdullah Al Majid, Consultant to the UAE Minister of Justice, said: 'They will help the quality of service which is offered to the public. And they can use our services any time, anywhere, any place.'

It is part of a programme to introduce new and more s-services, available on the Ministry's eJustice Portal. The portal is an integrated information system aimed at making it easier to exchange information between the department, the lawyers and the public.
