Through an installed video conferencing facility, residents can also get information on the fee structures of visas and learn more on the services offered by DNRD.

The 'Amer' Video Conference Kiosk will be convenient, accessible, and increase clarity regarding DNRD procedures for visa and residency applications, and all DNRD related services.

According to Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director of DNRD,

"The 'Amer' Video Conference Kiosk has a simple and efficient design, with a large interface, that makes it very user friendly. It will be available in both English and Arabic. Kiosks will be located at DNRD headquarters, external DNRD offices, the Dubai International Airport and major shopping centers in Dubai for the convenience of the public."

This new automated system, which is an extension of the Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department's (DNRD) 'Amer' system, was launched at Gitex this week and will be available early next year to the public.

"DNRD launched this video conferencing service which provides customers with prompt answers for visa and residency enquiries. The service has been received so far with great enthusiasm from Gitex visitors, attracting a high volume of enquiries," says Lt. Colonel Khaled Nasser Al-Razooqi, Assistant Director of IT Sector at DNRD.

H.E. Mariam Al Roumi, Minister of Social Affairs, visited the DNRD pavilion and was impressed by the facilities and services that were offered by DNRD at Gitex.

As the Gitex Technology Week concludes, DNRD has also organized a ceremony to thank its strategic partners who played an important role in the success of the exhibition such as Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC), Datel, Emirates Computers, CNC, Gulf Travel, and AVAYA for their valuable contribution.
