180 Degree Academy is a praxis oriented educational institute that focuses on people-centered concept making educating individuals and organizations on the ability to develop and execute radical business concepts.

The Master Practitioner Program consists of nine different modules- seven carried out in Denmark, one in Dubai, and one in South Africa. The Dubai module, Crystallizing Potential, was implemented in partnership with DWC where students focused on methods of strategy innovation, branding and marketing in a global world, and the business opportunity.

The decision to choose Dubai over many other international cities was due to its "innovative mindset and out-of-the-box approach to development which led to extraordinary success and growth in the entire world," said Pia Betton from the 180 Degree Academy. In Dubai, students from 180 Degree Academy learnt about how to market new ideas in a global world and worked collaboratively on a marketing and branding project with students from DWC and guidance from Professor Teng-Kee Tan visiting from Singapore.

The Danish students were hosted by the Business Department at DWC where Dr. Monica Gallant, Chair of the Business Department, introduced them to the campus and provided them with a presentation on Dubai's culture. "This project was an excellent opportunity for each group of students to learn more about different cultures and to work collaboratively to share ideas," Monica noted. Coordinated by Marketing teacher, Maura Blease, DWC Business students presented the results of their market research which focused on the feasibility of the business ideas in the Dubai environment. The week ended with the final presentations by the 180 Degree Academy students to a panel of DWC Business teachers and industry experts and a "speed consulting" session where constructive feedback was provided to each group.
