The Brazilian collections will show a common ground portraying happiness, lightness and a carefree attitude to life in their designs - distinctly Brazilian themes. Some of the stones visible in the jewellery will have differentiated cuts as well as faceted cuts - all exclusive and original in their design.

The Brazilian designs will also offer some unique textures, inspired by elements of nature, in addition to textures resembling urban icons.

All the collections present at the show will mix yellow, white and pink gold colouring with Brazilian gemstones, emeralds, rubies and sapphires. In the more nature-based designs, there is a predominance of yellow, pink and earth tones. Prevalent throughout the Brazilian collections is the overriding theme of revisiting the past and a return to classic themes of jewellery.

Through all these specialist creations, Brazilian jewellery is looking to solidify its place in the Middle East countries - countries that are obtaining increasing importance within the 40 nations worldwide that Brazil sells jewels to.

According to Hecliton Santini Henriques, the President of the Brazilian Gems and Jewellery Trade Association (IBGM), the Brazilian industry has confirmed its status amongst the international marketplace.

He explained:
"Brazilian jewels speak the language of fashion, totally in sync with the contemporary world, in which fashion means attitude."

In addition to the jewellery on show, there will be a Brazil Lounge where visitors will have the chance to experience the true atmosphere of the country. At the lounge, visitors can take some time to listen to Brazilian music, taste Brazilian candies, have refreshments and sit down for a true Brazilian coffee, not to mention the already-known Brazilian fashion and cosmetics.

This will be the first time that the IBGM - the Brazilian Gems and Jewellery Trade Association - is taking the step to re-create a Brazilian Environment inside an international event. According to Henriques, the President of the Brazilian Gems and Jewellery Trade Association, the initiative will offer a uniquely Brazilian experience.

"We look forward to welcoming people to our lounge and our main goal is to provide visitors with a unique experience and insight into Brazilian lifestyle. They (the public) will be able to taste, hear, see and feel what Brazil is all about," he added.
