Cosmos-ITL Group projects sales of electronic and IT appliances to double this year

This complements the company's targeted five-fold sales growth in the next five years.

Cosmos-ITL Group showcased an extensive range of products from Sharp, including the Aquos LCD range, at the recently concluded Gitex, where it partnered with Sharp Middle East.

The company had several bundle offers on Aquos LCD televisions at Gitex Shopper, as well as at all Cosmos and other retail outlets in the UAE.

Dr Ram Buxani, Executive Vice Chairman, Cosmos-ITL Group, said:

"Despite the global financial crises, demand for electronic appliances and IT products & solutions continues to grow in the UAE. The strong domestic demand, resulting from the concerted and timely policies of the UAE government, has strengthened investor confidence, as can be perceived from the response to Gitex and Gitex Shopper."

He added: "Cosmos-ITL Group is leveraging on the innovative technology-based products from Sharp Corporation to further expand our sales in the coming years. We are confident of doubling our growth this year, followed by year-on-year growth in the next five years."

Cosmos-ITL Group is the oldest distributor for Sharp products in the Middle East, and recently, celebrated fifty years of partnership.

At Gitex, Cosmos-ITL Group displayed a wide range of products from Sharp with a special showcase of the entire series of Aquos LCD televisions.

One of the highlights is the 108 inch LCD monitor, which was a crowd-puller at Gitex.

As part of the company's corporate social responsibility initiatives in supporting the 'Go Green' campaign of Dubai, Cosmos-ITL Group also highlighted the Sharp range of air-purifiers that use environment-friendly technology. This is to increase awareness on the need for healthy lifestyle choices.
