Ahmed Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of EIAST, said:
"This MoU marks an important step for EIAST after completing the final phase of the DubaiSat-1, which is set for launch towards the end of this year. We at EIAST are confident that our collaboration with KAIST- one of the top institutions leading Science & Technology in Korea, will help our efforts to create a specialized cadre of UAE nationals to fulfill the UAE aspirations in the fields of energy, water and environment."
According to the MoU, both institutions will cooperate on conducting joint research projects, exchanging data and expertise, developing and producing of applicable projects in the fields of science and technology that serve the unique needs of the UAE.

Such contributions are mutually beneficial as it enhances our profile and the future scientists and researchers. By assigning six members of our high profile faculties, to work closely with the EIAST team to develop science projects & researches to cater the needs of the UAE, we are demonstrating our commitment to the existing and potential young scientists, and we will continue to seek such beneficial opportunities im the future to both our team and the society," said Hee Cheon NO, Director of KAIST Institute for Eco-Energy.
Emirates Institute for Science and Technology (EIAST) was established to promote the culture of advanced scientific research in Dubai and UAE and create an internationally competitive base for human skills development. In addition to strengthening the country's international collaborative links and establish joint projects with industry and research organizations worldwide.
