The Best Development category was judged on basis of the development's location, the target market, external appearance and details of architectural &interior design; additionally on details of safety, security, energy efficiency and innovation.
Whereas the Best High-Rise Architecture category was judged by details of height and number of floors of the building, architectural appearance and details of structural and engineering features as well as on variation of unit sizes and styles.
The awards were distributed during a magnificent gala dinner held at the Johara Ballroom in the Madinat Jumeirah resort on the 19th Oct,2008.
Mr. Yasser Hamad, The General Manager of Salam Bounian, who received the awards, commented:

Being recognized by professionals in the property industry, by winning two awards, is a matter of great honor and pride to us and hope that in future we will gain further recognition not only for The Gate but for our other developments."
