Oman Air takes part in WTM 2008

The event is an exciting and vibrant event attracting over 47, 000 travel professionals representing over 202 countries. Oman Air will be taking part in the happening under the umbrella of the Ministry of Tourism.

Commenting on this, Peter Hill, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Air whom will be heading Oman Air's delegation to WTM 2008, said that the event is crucial for anyone in travel business.

Many airlines and service providers in the sector of tourism and travel take part in WTM.

The occasion that has all the components of travel trade converge under one roof provides a good networking and marketing ground for Oman Air. Hill added,

"Oman Air has been following a well-marked and planned programme with regard to its developmental phase. With more destinations and code-sharing on the anvil, it will be to our benefit to get to know up, close and first-hand about the various travel trade trends, people and missions, and that's exactly what WTM offers."

This is the first time that Oman Air will be functioning under a stall of its own in WTM. Oman Air's participations in WTM during previous years together with Ministry of Tourism had rewardingly attracted many prospective travelers to Oman.

With many European travelers making a beeline for places that offer sun, sand, and safety, Oman has been emerging as a much sought-after spot.

There has been a steady increase in the number of visitors who have been traveling into the Sultanate over the past few years.

The participation of Oman Air in travel events such as WTM helps creating better awareness about Oman to the travel community.

Oman Air's Corporate Communications and Media informed that (WTM) 2008 assures lots of important seminars, meetings, and discussions to bring up to date participants on future trends and innovations of travel business.

The event has always been a perfect platform for Oman Air to put on show the company's products and services.

"We have had a very satisfying stint at the WTM 2007, and we are confident that this year too with a dedicated separate space for Oman Air, we will be able to grasp the attention of more trade specialists and visitors same wise. At this year's World Travel Market, Oman Air will be showcasing its achievements so far, as well as providing an insight into what to expect from the national carrier of Oman for 2009 and beyond," they concluded saying.
