Muscat International Airport was short listed in the Routes Airport Marketing Award for the Middle East and CIS category which was sponsored by Official Airline Guide. This award is the only travel industry award which rewards excellence in airport marketing to airlines. Muscat International Airport was one of the five airports to be short-listed at the Routes 2008 conference held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
