- PRESS RELEASE
His Excellency Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy (MoE), said the concerted communications strategy adopted by MoE will enable the ministry to take its key messages to desired segments locally and internationally.
Mr Al Mansouri said that the ministry is working on establishing an efficient communications strategy that will enable it to communicate in the best way possible with its audience.
"This is particularly relevant today in the face of the global challenges. It is now, more than ever, important to create an integrated communications plan that explains the mission and policies of the ministry," he added.
Al Mansouri lauded the media's role in serving as a link between the audience and the different governmental and private institutions. He said that the media outlets and personnel are key partners of the MoE in delivering the message to the target audience.
"The communications process is essential in setting the ministry's policies and objectives and ensuring the delivery of its messages efficiently. By developing this process further, we aim to reiterate the global development and growth achieved by the UAE on all levels. The ministry's communications strategy is developed by adopting the best communications practices and thus serve as a leading example globally," he added.
During the meeting, four key topics were discussed, focused on improving the internal and external communications frameworks by adopting the best international communications practices, and organizing media communications to enable the MoE to efficiently communicate with its internal and external audiences. The topics also discussed targeting influential stakeholders who have interest in the MoE's work and communication mechanisms with them.
The strategy also highlighted the importance of communication within the industrial sector. This reflects the government's commitment to developing the industrial sector and empowering it to be a major contributor to the national economy.
The meeting concluded with the presentation of an integrated action plan in line with the strategic priorities of the ministry and highlighting the execution phases, in co-operation with the concerned Federal organisations.
This meeting is part of several initiatives by the MoE aimed at leveraging strategic planning concepts and applying them to all practices that are part of the ministry's scope of work, to achieve excellence at different levels.
