The unprecedented offers have been drawing customers in hordes to Sharaf DG stores, resulting in record footfalls and an increase in net sales by 80% over the Gitex Shopper period last year when Sharaf DG participated in the trade expo.
On Friday, 24th October 2008, Sharaf DG did its highest ever single-day turnover till date with the sale being almost 200% of its average Friday sales.
Commenting on the success of the festival promotion, Mr Nilesh Khalkho, CEO, Sharaf DG said,
"Against the backdrop of the recent global financial market crash, there were rational fears that sales during the Gitex period would suffer a major set-back. However, through our tantalizing out-of-the-box promotions and shockingly low price offers on a whole range of IT products, cameras and mobile phones, we have managed to generate a lot of buzz and excitement in the market and this has been evidenced through the crowds thronging our stores and our record sales."
The 'Samsung Key To Fortune' promotion at Sharaf DG has been one of the star attractions, giving shoppers spending AED 500 and more the chance to win one of the 2000 exciting Samsung products ranging from LCD TVs, home theatres, DVD players, MP3s mobile phones to cameras, printers and home appliances.
They will also have the opportunity to get their hands on a Google phone, which has created quite a stir in the market.
The show will go in terms of crazy offers, cross promotions and freebies galore at Sharaf DG only till 31 Oct 2008.
