EMEA online gaming industry to hit $15bn by 2011

OneCard, the Arab World's largest multi-function secured e-payment services, has announced that it has recently embarked on an aggressive marketing campaign in the Middle East to capitalise on the strong growth potential of the region's online gaming industry.

OneCard has partnered with many of the largest and world-renowned online gaming companies in a bid to address the region's rapidly increasing demand, which is predicted to propel the EMEA electronic gaming industry from $11.1bn to $15.4bn by 2011, according to a study by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and Wilkofsky Gruen Associates.

One of OneCard's major initiatives has been an agreement to be the main sponsor for the Gaming Expo 2008, the largest gaming event in the region, which will be held at Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre from October 28 to 31, 2008. In addition, OneCard will play host to premier game developers such as Travian, Wallie Card, Smart2Pay and Playinc. in its booth at the Gaming Expo, providing gamers and visitors an exclusive chance to personally meet and interact with the industry's recognised leaders.

"We are working with the world's leading specialists in online gaming to provide Internet users in the region a wide variety of choices that suit different types of gamers. Our clients can select from over 200 online games, which can be played directly from our site. Through our high-profile participation at Gaming Expo 2008, we are confident of further enhancing our presence and increasing our share of the rapidly growing Middle East market,"

said Muhannad Ebwini, General Manager of OneCard.
