  • United Arab Emirates: Sunday, January 12 - 2003 at 11:16
  • PRESS RELEASE

BEA is welcoming 2003 with the launch of its first authorized training center in the Middle East.

The unique training center will function as an enabler for business establishments in the region to fully leverage the potential of their BEA application infrastructure platforms and systems while maximizing the benefits of utilizing BEA's technology. Operating from their office at Dubai Internet City, the Education Services Centre will provide their fast growing clientele with essential training on BEA products, systems and solutions in order to facilitate them to exploit this leading edge technology to the maximum.

"Recent market studies point to the fact that in order to ensure that IT projects are on schedule, corporate spending on IT and business training has increased considerably during 2002, despite the global economic downturn and the budget squeeze. This trend is anticipated to continue through 2003 as executive leadership is increasingly expected to lay greater emphasis on IT education and training investments that are more sophisticated and company specific," said Diyaa Zebian, Business Development Manager, Middle East. "International IT vendors and systems and solutions companies have begun to capitalize on this growing development to offer specialized and exclusive programs designed to facilitate users to derive maximum benefit from their fast changing systems, within specific working environments. BEA's first authorized training center in the Middle East is also such a venture designed to offer on demand integrated, client-driven education solutions, which provide an end-to-end curriculum on e-commerce technologies and help assure success with BEA products. In addition, on-site tailor made training will also be provided for companies needing such services."

"Driven by complex technologies such as Java, Enterprise JavaBeans and XML, BEA's platforms have gained crucial importance in today's business critical environments, as more and more companies have begun to invest in systems and solutions that will offer them efficient, cost-effective and uninterrupted services. In addition, BEA regularly upgrades and enhances its products to continuously offer better solutions to its new and existing clientele," said Zebian. "In order to ensure that the clients are able to gain optimum benefit, we feel it is imperative to keep them constantly updated on the extensive capabilities of our systems. Education in leading industry products and solutions then assumes great significance as professionals work to maximize the advantages of BEA systems."

The Education Services Centre aims to offer BEA's official curriculum that is available in a variety of formats customized to meet client's needs. Training courses at the center will deal with every aspect of BEA technologies and will enable trainees to gain a thorough understanding of the company's enterprise software applications and systems. Zebian added. The training centre also offers BEA Certification Programs for competency on WebLogic platform. "Individual certifications for architects, developers, administrators and business analysts on six levels, spanning a number of different roles will provide a better understanding of the approaches, concepts and techniques required for continued development and maintenance of the systems" stated Zebian. Through this certification program candidates can be ensured expertise in BEA technologies and can offer both immediate on the job advantages as well as increased longer-term professional opportunities.

The Education Services Center has the facility for delivering training courses tailored to the needs of the individuals and businesses. The center will offer the option of using its in-house training facilities or taking the courses to clients' offices providing the benefits of pioneering education designed for project teams that need to absorb new aspects quickly. This is particularly suited for businesses that need instant solutions in their home environment using high quality courseware and instructors. Instructors have also been trained to spend time with project teams for reinforcement of skills learned in the classrooms. Businesses will be able to focus on topics that are relevant to their organization as well as flexible training schedules and benefit from fostering team spirit within the organization.
