Over 300 competitors from 35 countries spanning five continents, will attend the event that will see participating teams competing in varying parachuting disciplines ranging from 'accuracy landing' and 'formation skydiving' to 'canopy formation flying'. The official opening ceremony will include a Parachuting Air Show by the 'Wings for Life Free Fly Team' and 'Red Bull Sky Dive Team' from Europe. Meanwhile, the UAE Parachuting Team will attempt to set a new Middle East record by jumping with the biggest flag on October 31, 2008 at 16:30. Spectators will be able to view this from Hilton Fujairah Resort's private beach and beach garden arena or from Fujairah Marina.
The UAE National Team and Wings for Life Free Fly Team (Red Bull Austria) will demonstrate the high speed landings on the resort's beach and garden areas, which will also act as the landing pad for the competing parachuters.
