UAE Minister of Economy discusses steps to strengthen bilateral relations with Austria

His Excellency Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, the UAE Minister of Economy, and His Excellency Christian Bokhman, the Austrian Minister of Economy and Finance, discussed steps to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

The discussions focused on measures to boost various business sectors, trade and bilateral investments.

The global financial crisis was a part of the discussions and the UAE initiatives in tackling the impact of this crisis were highlighted during the meeting. They also discussed food security issues and the possibilities of importing basic food items from Austria.

H.E Al Mansouri stressed on the vision of the UAE leadership in creating robust economic fundamentals that have created an attractive investment climate. He said that the country's laws and legislations have enabled the economy to deal smoothly with the global volatilities..

He also emphasized that the UAE has become a hub for foreign investments due to the sustained economic growth, easy procedures that facilitate setting up businesses and visionary legislations.

Al Mansouri invited the Austrian counterpart to enhance flight frequency between the two countries, in order to strengthen cooperation in the fields of investments and various economic sectors.
