The conference will feature a huge gathering of Iraqi engineers and scientists from inside and outside Iraq to address the real issues facing the reconstruction process of Iraq. The conference, which is supported by the Iraqi Prime Minister Office, Iraqi ministries and many other organisations, will include four main areas:

1. Oil & Energy
2. Environmental Protection
3. Transportation, Infrastructure & Housing
4. IT & Telecommunication

The organising committee, in consultation with a group of Iraqi experts in the above mentioned engineering fields, has put in place a plan to attract a wider participation of distinguished research and practical solutions to be presented by professionals from both the academia and industry. This is also a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge and expertise between Iraqi engineers and scientists to stimulate and accelerate the process of reconstruction and capacity building in Iraq.

The conference programme will also include keynote speeches from internationally renowned scientists and engineers to present the visionary plans related to engineering in Iraq. This will be complemented with a number of workshops to draw plans for supporting the Iraqi engineering sector.

There will also be great opportunities for international engineering companies involved in reconstruction projects to present their products and services in the exhibition running alongside the conference sessions.
