Dubai Women's College students receive training in China

Seven Bachelor and Higher Diploma students from Dubai Women's College (DWC) met with the Consul General Gao Youzhen from the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Dubai during an information session on an international training program the students will go through with Huawei Technologies in China.

Students are all enrolled in the Information Technology (IT) department and will travel to China on the 2nd of November for one week.

During the session, students received the details of their training program, fully funded by Huawei Technologies, which will be carried out by the Customer Training Center at Huawei University.

The training program has been prepared after careful evaluation of the skills and requirements of the participating students in order to make sure it adds value to their IT skills.

Students will spend 4 days studying Datacom technologies including network fundamentals and basic routing technologies which are intended for first line field technicians, commission and testing IT specialists.

Students will also spend two days studying NGN system and product and WCDMA RAN system overviews which will provide them with telecom management skills and enhance their overall technical skills.

This Datacom product customized training is part of students' academic requirements at DWC's IT department.

International study tours are an integral part of DWC students' learning experiences that are intended to provide global-based learning opportunities in order to enhance students' knowledge of worldwide industry trends and understanding of different cultures and global issues.
